Make-A-Wish Australia

Make-A-Wish® grants Wish experiences to children with life-threatening medical conditions and is the only children’s charity in Australia to focus solely on such Wish realisation. As we receive no ongoing government support, we are critically reliant on the generosity of our donors, sponsors and volunteers. In 2010 alone, Make-A-Wish® Australia granted 491 Wishes, an increase of 91 from the previous year. Our ultimate vision is to ensure every child with a life-threatening medical condition in Australia is given the opportunity to experience the power of a Wish, in its ability to drastically improve mental, emotional and physical health. In the past 25 years of operation, 6,500 Wishes have been granted by Make-A-Wish®.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service

Inspired by the ongoing vision of Reverend John Flynn, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) relies heavily on funding from government, fundraising and donations to provide medical assistance to all corners of the country. Their work is essential. They have a unique insight into the needs of regional, rural and remote Australians. Their fundraising work in Victoria means they can provide the necessary infrastructure required to support the delivery of emergency and health services to those traveling, working and living in regional Australia.
